“I like to see the nice bikes they have,” said Thomas Mason.
“It looks like there’s a lot of bike experience to be gained by riding around as a team,” said Julian Mason.
The family has seen the sea of motorcycles before at a Harley-Davidson Homecoming Parade.
“We were sitting there and a biker stopped – they were taking pictures with a biker at the parade,” Richard said. “That’s what’s amazing about it: the bikers really love to see families and they stop and they’re great.”
A foreign crew of 21 Belgian riders said it was their first time taking part in such a parade in the United States
“On the bike we will have big Belgian flags,” said Vincent Dureaux.
Dureaux said Harley-Davidson meant “freedom” to him. This sense of freedom will be expressed during Sunday’s parade.
Expect traffic and road closures downtown – not just because of the parade, but also because of Bastille Days in Cathedral Square Park. The Hop tram will resume regular service on Sunday.
