The suspect will be met by investigators and appear later at the Sherbrooke Courthouse.
Remember, around 5 a.m. Friday morning, Sherbrooke Police Department officers were called to reports of a man being stabbed near Gillespie Street in Sherbrooke. The investigation was quickly transferred to the SQ.
The BEI is investigating
The Office of Independent Investigations (BEI) has also launched an investigation into the events. According to preliminary information, a person who made incoherent comments called 911 around 2:40 a.m. A few minutes later, officers from the Sherbrooke Police Department arrived at the scene.

A perimeter fence was erected on Gillespie Street during the day. A neighbor told La Tribune that he saw police performing CPR on the victim outside a house just a few dozen meters from the scene of the alleged attack.
None of the other neighbors encountered had seen or heard anything as the attack had occurred early in the morning.
