MUST SEE: Here's a trick you've never seen before

The ECHL hosted its traditional All-Star Game on Monday and some took the opportunity to impress, including Matthew Brown, who went for a play you've probably never seen before.

In the third period of the clash between the stars of the scene and the Savannah Ghost Pirates, the Reading Royals player surprised former Montreal Canadiens goalkeeper Michael McNiven with a breakaway.

You have to play the sequence in slow motion to understand Brown's maneuver with the puck. First, he lifted the disc with the back of his blade and, in a whipping motion, hurled it over the bouncer's right shoulder.

The 24-year-old American is a Philadelphia Flyers prospect who deserves to be known. He was never drafted and signed with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms of the American League this season. He spent most of the season with the Royals and led them with 29 points in 26 games.

The ECHL Stars ultimately defeated the Ghost Pirates 18 to 11. Due to an injury to Anthony Beauregard, the Trois-Rivières Lions had no representative at this event.
