Style guidelines for the racing event, which is normally attended by the Queen, state that dresses and tops with sheer sections, straps and sleeves are not permitted in the Royal Enclosure.

This year, however, the annual event encourages guests to be bolder than ever when choosing their outfit.

It also appeared to encourage racegoers to adopt a more “casual” look at the event, with female models posing in mini dresses and platform shoes, while men are allowed to wear Cuban shirts and printed garments.
