Netflix fans have given a 10/10 rating to a sci-fi film directed by a BAFTA-winning actor and praised the surprise appearance of a football legend.
“The Kitchen,” which debuted on the streaming service earlier this month, was directed by Daniel Kaluuya and featured a brief appearance from Ian Wright.
Rapper and Top Boy actor Kano led the relatively unknown cast of the film, which premiered at the British Film Institute in October 2023.
Kano, 38, plays Izi, who lives with Benji (Jedaiah Bannerman) in a dystopian future in London where all social housing has been abolished.
Her friends struggle to find their way as residents of the Kitchen, a community that refuses to leave their home.
