The sound that inspired hope in the families of those who died in the Titan Sub Disaster implosion last June is made available to the public in the documentary “Minute By Minute: The Titan Sub Disaster.” Titan Submarine, in literal translation). On this occasion, five people died while the ship was heading to the wreck of the Titanic, a ship that sank in 1912.
The documentary, produced for British television channel Channel 5, reveals details from the moment before the voyage to the fateful day the ship imploded. The production also includes explanations from experts as to why the noises are not taken as evidence that there was still life in the place.
The tragedy killed British tourists Hamish Harding (58), Shahzada Dawood (48) and her son Sulaiman Dawood (19), French naval pilot PaulHenry Nargeolet and submarine owner OceanGate CEO Stockton Rush on Titanic.
Hope for the families of the victims
Before Canadian authorities found the wreckage, family members were optimistic that the crew would still be alive. Already on the second day of the search, reports emerged that banging noises were being detected in the depths of the ocean every 30 minutes. The first sound was recorded in the early hours of June 20th, then the US Navy confirmed that it had also detected the sounds on the morning of the 21st. However, on June 22, 2023, the US Coast Guard confirmed the deaths of all crew members.
