NHL: 15th straight win for the Oilers

No one can stop the Edmonton Oilers as they celebrated their 15th straight victory by defeating the Chicago Blackhawks 3-0 on Thursday night.

Once again, Connor McDavid was the key to his team's success, scoring two goals and being an accomplice in Zach Hyman's net in the third period. Leon Draisaitl, meanwhile, had three assists.

Thanks to this success, the Oilers are now just two wins away from the record for the longest winning streak (17) in the National Hockey League, set by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 1992-1993 season.

Alberta goaltender Calvin Pickard posted a 27-save shutout. His Blackhawks colleague Petr Mrazek saved 31 pucks in the defeat.

The Oilers face the Nashville Predators on Saturday. Luke Richardson's men will look to get back to winning ways against the Flames in Calgary on the same day.
