Her name is Nina Zhuk and she is a pharmacist from Kharkiv, in short, one of the victims of the war in Ukraine unleashed by Russian President Vladimir Putin. Zhuk as seen in the photo sustained serious injuries to his face from the bombing while working. According to Ukrainska Pravda, which showed his picture, the Ukrainian Ministry of Health denounced him: “Unfortunately, this photo is not the first and not the only evidence that the occupiers violated all international conventions and laws. It is a test of cruelty, meanness and inhumanity,” they wrote from the ministry. Zhuk’s face is deeply lacerated, which will indeed force her into a long rehabilitation. In conclusion, the Kyiv government thanked the doctors who continue to save lives in extremely difficult conditions in all waraffected cities. Many of them even live in pharmacies and hospitals, having lost their homes in the bombing.
