New responsibilities are coming for Nolberto Solano, who will leave the country to embark on a new adventure in his career as Technical Director. This time, the former assistant of the Peruvian team will make the big leap into European football, managing a club from the old continent. ‘Ñol’ will have his first experience in Europe, coaching AFC Eskilstuna in Sweden’s second division.

The ex-footballer’s official presentation took place this Friday, July 14, at the Swedish Football Promotion Team’s premises.

“Nolberto spent the day in Tunavallen meeting both those in charge and the team and also taking part in the morning training sessions. Nolberto was in regular contact with Robert Åstedt during the week and watched our games. It also means that he will be on the touchline against IK Brage on Sunday,” reported AFC Eskilstuna’s official website.

The statements of Nolberto Solano

During his presentation, Nolberto Solano made his first statements emphasizing that there is still a lot to do at AFC Eskilstuna.

“I see it as a great challenge and a great opportunity. I had the experience of playing at a high level in a national team for seven years. It was a great experience, so I like the challenge,” he said.

“I know that the club is not in the best situation in terms of sport, but after seeing the team for the last three or four weeks, I believe that we have good players and that we can get out of this situation,” added he added.
