The sentimental comedy received critical acclaim at the Cannes, Toronto and Quebec festivals Just like SylvainMonia Chokri’s third feature film premiered in Montreal on Monday evening at the Cinéma Impérial.
The actress and director walked the red carpet accompanied by several stars of her film, including Magalie Lépine-Blondeau, Pierre-Yves Cardinal, Francis-William Rhéaume, Steve Laplante, Mathieu Baron and Christine Beaulieu.
Simple comme Sylvain describes a love story between a 40-year-old philosophy professor and a building contractor from the Laurentians.
The film will be shown across Quebec on Friday.
