EBC (Brazilian Communication Company) signed a contract worth R$4,991,570.25 with the production company A Fábrica de Entratenimento. Sem Censura is hosted by former actress and former TV Globo presenter Cissa Guimarães, 66 years old. On Tuesday (January 23) she visited the studios where the recordings will take place. On this occasion she was welcomed by the President of the EBC, Jean Lima. The contract is valid for 13 months and has a total value of R$840,000, which corresponds to R$64,615 per month.
The public company reported that Cissa Guimarães' professional experience “represents a solid strategic move, aligned with the objectives of the audience and the relevance of the program.”
EBC said there were concerns about its relevance and concerns about a quality program. It listed elements such as “charisma and public recognition, experience and technical competence, identification with EBC’s mission to provide highquality and relevant content, loyalty and audience credibility and reputation.”
The agreement covers the artistic, content, creative management and presentation of the attraction. The award was made without the need for a bidding process. According to EBC, the chosen modality is in accordance with national law and is established in the company's internal regulations for tenders and contracts. The contract with the producer also has a term of 13 months. The first was intended for development and preproduction.
“The specific legal framework refers to services related to the production of audiovisual works, in particular the provision of artistic management services, content services and creative services that are inextricably linked to the presentation services of the attraction,” reads an excerpt from the response from EBC Power360.
The total order value is divided as follows:
- Creation, development and preproduction services R$679,000;
- Presentation Services R$744,000;
- Presentation by Cissa Guimarães R$840,000;
- Artistic direction services R$720,000;
- Content Services R$956,000;
- Project fees and taxes R$1,052,570.25.
The show has been broadcast daily since 1985. Since 2020 it has been reformulated and broadcast weekly. Now it is shown daily again. A total of 260 episodes will be broadcast.
Uncensored was scheduled to begin in November 2023, but Doyle's departure led to the project being postponed.
