“Following a thorough assessment of Filip Chytil following a relapse of his upper body injury, it has been confirmed that he will miss the remainder of the season,” the Rangers said in a statement. The organization's top priority throughout this process has been Filip's health and we will continue to support him in his recovery with the goal of returning for the 2024-25 season.
The Czech has not played since November 2nd in a game against the Carolina Hurricanes and has returned to his home country.
Chytil was helped to leave the Madison Square Garden rink on Friday by two teammates and club staff after a “collision” occurred, according to the New York Post.
This season, the 24-year-old has collected six assists in ten games.
