According to information from Kiev, Russian troops fired again at several targets in Ukraine.
Attacks were reported both in the Donbass region and in the largely destroyed port city of Mariupol. “In the direction of Donetsk, the enemy is carrying out offensive actions along the entire front line,” the Ukrainian general staff said on Saturday. The strongest Russian attacks are aimed at the city of Sievjerodonetsk in the Luhansk region.
Two dead in Kiev

Planned “provocation”
Meanwhile, the Russian military has announced that it will put its new Sarmat ICBM into service in the fall. The Kremlin also accused the US of planning a “provocation” to force Russia to use weapons of mass destruction in Ukraine.
About two months after the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, UN Secretary-General António Guterres plans to visit Russia and Ukraine next week. After Putin’s reception in Moscow on Tuesday, Guterres will travel to Ukraine and meet President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Thursday, among others.
