Tennis star Serena Williams spoke after The New York Times published an article about her, but mistakenly used a photo of her sister Venus Williams. The Times has since apologized.
The article, published in the March 2 print edition of The Times, discusses Serena’s latest venture capital fund, aimed at supporting ideas from various creators. Entitled “Tennis Star’s Venture Company Raises $ 111 Million,” the article appeared in print with a photo of Venus Williams, misnamed Serena.
“No matter how far we go, we are reminded that it is not enough. That’s why I raised $ 111 million for @serenaventures”To support founders who have been neglected by rooted systems without knowing their biases,” Williams wrote in a Twitter post Wednesday. “Because even I am neglected. You can do better, @nytimes “

“It was our fault,” he told the New York Times Business tweets Wednesday. “This is due to an error in the selection of photos for the print edition and did not appear online. A correction will appear in tomorrow’s newspaper.”
The New York Times did not immediately respond to a request for comment from CBS News.
