Kevin Mauricio Cruz Moreno, lyricist who helped Shakira and Bizarrap create this track, gave an interview to Molusco TV, revealing that many phrases planned for the song were ultimately scrapped. It’s common for a song to be rewritten several times to follow the melody or better explain the message, but in this case The changes were made to avoid problems with the father of the Colombian children.
