Swifties outraged by picture on woman's phone at Taylor Swift's Sydney concert: 'How did she get a ticket?'

Taylor Swift fans were outraged after a social media video showed a woman using Shazam during the pop star's concert in Sydney.

TikTok user nessatlx shared a clip of the concert-goer holding her phone in the air and using the music recognition app to find the title of a song as the singer performs “Champagne Problems.”

Several fans took to social media to express their anger, claiming that the woman would not have been allowed to attend the concert if she did not know the pop star's songs.

“That's why we couldn't get tickets because Karen knew 'Shake it Off' and 'that Shakespeare play,'” wrote one disappointed fan.

“And now I cry myself to sleep every night because I miss the most iconic historical event that will ever occur in my life,” raged another.

“I lost a ticket for this?” another fan commented.

One person said: “I swear there should be a mini quiz to solve before you buy a ticket.”

However, other fans defended the woman and suggested that she may have attended the concert with her daughter and did not know all the songs.

“This is actually so sweet 🙁 I'm sure she came with her daughter or someone and realized how beautiful Taylor's poetry is,” one person commented.

“Imagine you are her.” Imagine her experience when she first fell in love with this masterpiece live. What a truly blessed experience she has had,” said another.

“I went to 1989 with my mother, who probably only knew the lyrics to “Shake It Off” and “Love Story.” “I'm still glad I took her when I was 15. “You don’t have to know the words to every song to get a card,” agreed a third.
