The website francoischarron.com, launched in 2005, quickly gained a place on the Internet. At the beginning there were details of the columns that François Charron presented on the TVA morning show Salut Bonjour.
The website quickly grew into a portal to help the general public use technology in their daily lives. With a simple and sometimes amusing approach, the website, which now carries the slogan “Living connected, knowing how to switch off”, aims to explore the world of the web, social networks, computers, home automation, gadgets and social or ethical questions to democratize technology.
The site offers a wealth of tips and advice to help visitors avoid digital pitfalls such as scams, scams, identity theft, viruses and other threats.
Francoischarron.com only presents products that its editorial team finds interesting. The team guides visitors to the right purchases and offers numerous comparison tools to save money.
Our goal is to help you experience the positive side of technology by integrating it into your daily life as much as possible.

Here is the Synonym media team (my production company!) A small team that has accompanied me in my madness since 2005 and has an extraordinary passion for doing great and beautiful things. Do you understand that I love her?!?
A great challenge to introduce a team… In alphabetical order (that's civil servant or big company), by title (wow, in a small team like ours we're all vice presidents of something). Orderly disorder reigns here.

François Charron
Site editor and columnist
François Charron launched his eponymous website in 2005. From day one, it was aimed primarily at the general public. François takes on the challenge of making technology simple and attractive for beginners. An animator, designer, producer and entrepreneur, François Charron was not only a columnist and web popularizer, but also part of the morning television show Salut, Bonjour for almost 20 years.
In addition to spreading the word about the world of technology, he also enjoys playing the “Robin of the Web” by introducing people to tools that can save money when using the web or applications. François Charron and his partners are behind the Club Boomerang cashback program.
As a speaker, he presents his online fraud prevention conference across Quebec. We hear it every week on several radio stations across the province. We can see and hear him in his two podcasts La vie est belle, in which he receives people who inspire him, and in the update that he co-hosts with Vincent Paquet, columnist and editor-in-chief of the website francoischarron.com.

Vincent Paquette
Editor-in-chief and columnist
A graduate of the University of Montreal in communications and politics, Vincent started as a column editor at francoischarron.com.
The techno and sports enthusiast (he already worked at RDS plus collects jerseys and other items signed by players) quickly established himself in the website's editorial team and became editor-in-chief.
Like anyone who produces content for the site, Vincent wants to make things that seem complicated simple. He is our chief tester. New phones, televisions, speakers and other networked home devices shape the everyday life of his small family, which he often turns into product testers.
In 2022, he also became managing director of Synonyme media, the production house behind the website francoischarron.com, combining the roles of editor-in-chief and columnist.

Anik Dessureault
columnist
The journey of Anik Dessureault, columnist at francoischarron.com, is extremely inspiring.
As a young, trendy graphic designer, she gives birth to little Tom, who is born with a challenge: he is autistic. Mom quickly discovers that she can communicate with him more easily through pictures. She and her partner then launched IDÉOpicto, a system of magnetic pictograms to communicate appropriately and better understand each other. Your images help families around the world.
Years later, his father Yves was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. The one who turns life's lemons into lemonade quickly realizes that her concept of pictograms can help people like her father. MÉMOpicto was born!
François Charron was Anik’s marketing and content coach for years. One fine morning, looking for new challenges, François asked him to join the site's editorial team and join our mission to make the world of technology easier for the general public.

Matthew Joncas

The office rainbow! He is responsible for the appearance of our websites Francoischarron.com, FraudeWeb.com, the podcast La vie est belle, the podcast La update, Tornade Rousse and all other projects. He is the creative behind our boutique.ca products. He is also the one who creates the visuals for our numerous competitions. Antoine Harvey

Antoine Harvey
Video editor
In the video sector, the phrase we hear most often is: “We’ll fix that in the editing!” Well, it’s our Antoine National who fixes it! A video enthusiast who has so much fun shooting the clips you see to take off from Mirabel to our Montreal runway every morning.

Moman Charron
VOLUNTEER proofreader
Our firefighter! There is an error… the error is not corrected… the error is still there. She's also the one who tells us, “Well, we haven't experienced the madness of the day yet,” “The waiter is slow,” “You shouldn't say that on TV,” “You're cute in a tie.” ” .” Ghyslaine is a virgin, so she writes everything, everything, everything! And my mother does FTP now! Hot!

Jean Pierre Dubuc
Multimedia production manager
Our technological depth! Present in all my projects since the early 90s. Without his presence, his patience and his knowledge, I still don't know if I could turn on a computer. Without him: no website, no video, no newsletters… nothing. A painter turned computer graphic designer and programmer and most importantly an Aries who loves thinking about the world.

Pascal Jolin
Project partners and programmers
My magician! The one who has made my crazy ideas come true since the 2000s. A filmmaker, programmer and entrepreneur who invents the website's invisible solutions. I also founded yoursite.ca with him, which I sold to him in 2019.
The birth of the website
To launch the first version of the site in 2005, we had to re-read all the texts from 1998 to 2005 one by one, visit ALL the sites offered, create images for each topic and clean everything. A total of 10,000 content sheets were created online for the first time. It cost us a lot of time! A job carried out while the hot summer sun called for an aperitif on the terrace….!!!
Thanks to:
