(CNN) – There was a lot of excitement on the BAFTA 2024 red carpet in London this Sunday as some of Hollywood's top talent gathered for the British film industry's Oscars.
While there was no sign of Catherine, Princess of Wales, as she continues to recover from abdominal surgery this year, her husband Prince William appeared at the ceremony at London's Royal Festival Hall in his capacity as president of the British Academy of Film and Television .
And while there were few surprises among the winners (the most nominated film, “Oppenheimer,” topped the list with nine wins), things on the red carpet were a little less predictable, with a variety of trends from old Hollywood were to be seen. From glamor to statement necklines to peach dresses galore.
