In fact, the organization announced that the entire program will be resumed – including the performance by Robert Charlebois, which took place at 6:30 p.m. on the Plains of Abraham. Sara Dufour will perform at 7 p.m.

The Cowboys Fringants’ performance had been postponed to 7:30 p.m. due to the violent storms that were expected to hit the Capitale-Nationale around 9 p.m. It was eventually canceled just as the Cowboys were about to deliver their performance. Given the health of singer Karl Tremblay, it must have been a precious moment between the group and their admirers.

The organizers of the FEQ did not want to take any risks on Thursday and asked the festival visitors to leave the site as quickly as possible and to seek shelter.
The FEQ says it mobilized quickly to find a solution. “We knew that the performance of the Cowboys Fringants was expected, both for the festival-goers and for the group,” said Nicolas Racine, President and CEO of BLEUFEU, which organizes the FEQ.
“It really is the story of an entire city that wanted the show to happen: in the moments that followed and into the wee hours of the morning, our conversations with all our partners and suppliers showed how mobilized everyone was.”

All passes valid on the evening of July 13th will also be valid on the evening of July 17th. Access to the different areas will be controlled like last night. Festival-goers are therefore asked to keep their pass in order to access the show on July 17th.
The Cowboys Fringants had canceled the show they were due to present at the Festirame in Alma, Lac-Saint-Jean on Tuesday.
The organization Festirame explained that this absence is related to the treatment plan that Karl Tremblay, who has been battling prostate cancer for several months, is undergoing.
Karl Tremblay announced in July 2022 that he was suffering from cancer since January 2020. The Cowboys star has continued to give concerts since then, although the group had to cancel their participation in the Grandes Fêtes Telus de Rimouski last summer due to the treatment of their singer.
