MP Nery Abilio of the Blue Party was elected president, and Darwin Alberto Lucas of the UNE party was elected first vice president. The group forming the new board includes representatives from the Viva, Cabal, VOS, Bien, Victoria and National List parties, while the ruling Semilla party remains outside the board.

Guatemala's Constitutional Court issued a ruling on Wednesday suspending the integration of the congressional executive board.
