Traitors winner Harry Clark is leaving the military but has explained the surprising reason for his career change.
The 22-year-old army engineer stormed to victory in the final of the hit BBC show on Friday evening, in a thrilling final episode watched by seven million viewers.
But he has now declared that he is ready to leave his military career behind, and it's all for love.
During an interview with British Forces Broadcasting Service radio station, Harry praised his six years in the military for “making me the man I am today and helping me win the game,” but said it was Time for a “new chapter”.

“I wanted to start the next chapter of my life before the TV show came about,” Harry explained. “I had been in the military for six years, I had already been sent away.”
Harry, who previously revealed how his military background helped him win The Traitors, said he would give up for love, explaining: “I'm a man in love, I'm a hopeless romantic, that sounds so vile but it takes that special person.” .'
“I never wanted to have a full career in the army because I wanted to move back home. I was gone Monday through Friday, and when I deploy, some months I miss birthdays or making memories with my partner, and it just wasn’t for me.”
Harry is happily with his CBBC star girlfriend Anna Maynard, sister of I'm A Celebrity star Jack Maynard and singer Conor Maynard.
“When I met my girlfriend, my decision was: I'm going to get everything I can,” he explained, “and I'm ready to go now.”
“Luckily, as part of my supervisory course for work, I got the message that I was supposed to do the TV show, but I had already opted out.”
“They've been great though and hopefully they'll let me go soon because I have so many crazy meetings with management and stuff so who knows what's next.”

The 23-year-old confused fans with his talk about money, saying on the show that he wanted to win to treat his family, while later saying on Uncloaked that he “didn't need the money.”
A quick look at his Instagram shows that he lived a comfortable life before he became famous, with pictures of the star on private jets and wearing designer accessories.
So fans were stunned when Harry revealed in a recent interview that he “has no pot to p**s in” and has been borrowing money from his father while he waits for his grand prize to be delivered.
To clear up the confusion, Harry revealed that his glamorous social media page was not what it seemed and mentioned his celebrity girlfriend Anna.
Speaking about his perceived wealth, Harry told Metro.co.uk: “I wish I had a private jet and I wish I had the money to fly on a private jet. To be honest, it’s a waste of money.”
“Everyone thinks I'm rich, but I was very lucky to meet my other half, whose brothers worked incredibly hard since they were 15, and I somehow managed to sneak my way through their lifestyle with a deft tongue.” '

The champion, who declared he was the “best traitor ever”, sparked fury from fans because he said he never needed the money after he “acted like he couldn't have a Toby Carvery with the family afford”.
