These Cat Sisters Raise All Their 11 Kittens To Two (Video) Woopets

Apricot and Waffles are two sisters abandoned at Harley’s Hounds Animal Rescue in the UK. They were from the same litter, grew up and spent their entire lives together. But her owner didn’t want to keep her anymore and gave her to a family member. She had agreed to take them so the cats wouldn’t be abandoned, but she didn’t really want them. When she realized that both were pregnant, she preferred to take them to the shelter.

Births are a few days apart

Two weeks after their arrival at the shelter, the two cats gave birth a few days apart. Apricot, the black cat with the little white mustache, is the first to give birth to her kitten. She subsequently supported Waffles during her birth.

When the shelter worker saw that Waffles had given birth to two kittens, she tried to separate them from Apricots. But Waffles obviously wanted to stay with her sister with her little ones.

“She went to get her babies, put them right back into bed with Apricot, and then curled up on her. So I think they’re going to share motherhood,” the staffer said in words Newsweek reported.

In fact, after Waffles was born, the mothers took care of their eleven little ones together. The woman who takes care of them made sure all the babies got their dose of colostrum and then left the blended family to fend for itself.

Now the mothers breastfeed all the kittens one by one. So they can rest in between.

Once the kittens are adopted, they will be spayed and put up for adoption as well. The shelter wants them to be adopted together.
