Two men, each wearing a mask and a sweater bearing Patrick Roy's image, stood out among the many fans who came to applaud the former Canadiens goaltender at the Bell Center last night.

“He's passionate, a winner and he never gives up,” describes the man who manages Habscave's Instagram page.
Peetush admits he certainly would have liked to see Patrick Roy take over as the Canadiens' head coach in June 2022, but he will continue to admire him behind the New York Islanders' bench.

“I was disappointed, but Martin [St-Louis] Did a good job, says the big Habs fan. I would also have preferred Patrick to be in Ottawa [plutôt qu’à New York] because we would see him more often, but at least he has a job in the National League now. »
“He is a coach, but it remains the return of Saint-Patrick,” he concluded, immediately recalling the goalkeeper's exploits that led to the Canadian's Stanley Cup victories in 1986 and 1993.

At his side, Michael Tzouvadakis noted what he sees as Roy's most important quality: “Whether he's a player or a coach, he doesn't want to lose games.”

The Canadiens and the Islanders will face each other just one more time before the end of this season on April 11, but that meeting is scheduled in the New York area.
