Pdolyak: “More weapons are needed, Putin wants all of Ukraine and the other former Soviet states”
Almost two years after the Russian invasion, Ukraine is demanding more weapons from its allies to continue the resistance against Putin's troops. “At this stage of the war, the problem is that weapons, drones, grenades and artillery shots are not evenly distributed,” explained Ukrainian presidential adviser Mykhailo Podolyak in an interview with Bild, convinced of the need to maximize the strengthening of the Defense of Ukraine with high-tech weapons.

Investments in arms production are necessary, he emphasized, referring to “long-range missiles, drones, grenades or artillery shells” and emphasizing a “large number of weapons”. “The entire front line is 1,300 kilometers long – noted Podolyak – and the fighting takes place over 600-800 kilometers.” Podolyak spoke of a situation that was described as difficult from a military point of view, since the intensity of the clashes does not subside, even if it , as he said, there had been no significant progress from Russia for a year.

“Russia is fighting en masse, a secret mobilization has been carried out, a lot of manpower has been sent to the front, a lot of equipment has been concentrated and everything must be destroyed,” he said, adding that he believes that according to the ideas of Russian leader Vladimir Putin, it should the war will continue “until it conquers the entire territory of Ukraine, achieves supremacy in Europe and conquers other areas of the post-Soviet space.”
“No one – he explained – starts a great war after destroying his reputation and relationships if he wants to be content with little.”
