A marriage proposal in the middle of the sea ended unexpectedly after the groom, nutritionist Michael Alexandre, lost his balance and fell into the sea. The video showing the moment of the fall went viral on social media and has already been seen by more than 318,000 people. The pictures were taken last Saturday (20) at Praia dos Magalhães in Santa Catarina.
The couple has been together for 10 months. In an interview with G1, Michael said that the horror had no impact on the moment, which he considers one of the most beautiful of his life:
“I think, especially because of the fall, but also because she wasn't expecting it and because she reacted so happily, it was very special, better than expected and will stay with me for the rest of my life,” he remembers.
The nutritionist planned the order for two weeks and had the boat staff help him organize the ship with rose petals. The surprise was the sound of the song “Don't Stop Believe”, the couple's favorite song.
The images were shared by Michael's sisterinlaw and are one of the most discussed topics online.
Bride Janaina Alves celebrated the moment on social media:
“Thank you, my love, for this perfect engagement proposal, just our way. I am thrilled to be your bride and future wife,” he wrote.
