Sophie Durocher received a baptism of fire when she landed in Panama for the second timee Season of Get me out of here!, which airs Sunday, March 3, on TVA. Despite the dizziness that torments her, she had to cross two sections of the same tower on a steel cable, all at a height of 163 meters or, if you like, from 53 meterse Floor of the tallest skyscraper in Central America.
The Journal's culture columnist and QUB presenter asked one of the stuntmen where the best place to look was. We guess it was absolutely necessary not to stare at the floor!

“He said to me, 'Watch where you're going.'” I thought it was so brilliant. I use it in life now because when you know where you are going, you are not afraid of anything and you keep your goal. It’s a life lesson at the same time,” she told QMI Agency.
Months after filming, Sophie Durocher still thinks about that challenge – in which she took part alongside Philippe Laprise and Sébastien Toutant – as well as other highlights of Get Me Out of Here! She remembers that she was capable, that she surpassed herself, and that she is proud of what she accomplished.
During the crossing, she thought about her 15-year-old son, who had told her that she was strong. With these words she completed the challenge a little.
“The opportunity of a lifetime”
It must be said that we were not expecting Sophie Durocher to appear in this show. The woman who will soon be publishing a new neo-feminist essay immediately accepted the invitation, she swears, as she “loved” the first season in Costa Rica as a viewer.

“I didn't hesitate for a second and said yes before even speaking to Richard [Martineau]», her lover of the last 21 years, she said. “He said to me, 'Let's see, I would never do that.' But I wanted to take on the challenge and I wanted the people who knew me as a serious girl to see the other side.”
She even speaks of the “chance of a lifetime” to experience powerful moments and take part in a unique experience. “Despite the constant heat and mosquitoes, I enjoyed every moment!”
“I learned that I have resources that I never knew I had. I’m a pretty strong person in life, but it was a human experience, the worst and the best.”

Confronted with Rosalie Vaillancourt
Sophie Durocher, who says she “hates consensus,” wasn’t offended when Rosalie Vaillancourt didn’t know who she was when she arrived at the camp.
The young comedian even told her that she represents “the audience that least agrees with what she writes in her columns.” “But that doesn’t mean I don’t respect these people,” she added. I'm glad there are people who think differently.” Dave Morissette came to the aid of Sophie, who asked him to become her agent. Despite everything, she holds no grudge against Rosalie.
Produced by Productions Déferlantes in collaboration with Quebecor Content, the show Sortez-moi d'ici! will return for its second season on TVA on Sunday, March 3 at 6:30 p.m. You can also watch TVA+.
