WATCH: Donald Brashear gets shuffled at LNAH

Despite turning 52 earlier this year, Donald Brashear continues to play hockey and hang up the gloves in the North American Hockey League (NAHL), but he may have felt stronger than he is.

Brett Gallant, considered one of the best fighters in the Quebec semi-professional circuit, pulled out all the stops with Brashear in the meeting between the Marquis de Jonquière and the Pétroliers de Laval on February 9th.

On Wednesday, a video of the heavyweight fight resurfaced on social media, showing a duel that appears to come from another era. The 50-year-old and his rival took off their helmets and hit hard.

It was Brashear who lost his balance first and Gallant even hit the former Montreal Canadiens while he was on the ice.

This season, the Indiana native has seven points in 18 games with the Marquis and has spent “only” 29 minutes in the penalty box. Has the 15th most penalized player in National League history mellowed with age?
