Floods and tornadoes in South Africa
The bad weather started on Tuesday 27th June and has never abated in south east South Africa where precipitation is common In just one day they reached 170 mm, at a time of year when it usually does not rain heavily. The province of KwaZulu-Natal in particular was hit by heavy rainsborders Mozambique, Eswatini and Lesotho, where even a tornado was sighted.
Reports of a confirmed tornado in eNanda are coming in to the KZN.

The floods have caused significant damage to homes 70 houses were destroyed, 110 damagedwith over 500 people. Seven people lost their lives Many people are missing or injured and hundreds of livestock have died as a result of flooding and landslides in KwaZulu-Natal province.
