No one had seen her since 1992. Patricia Coptaa woman from Pittsburgh (Pennsylvania) disappeared more than 30 years ago, was found alive and well a Puerto Rico. The now 83-year-old woman used to commute to work, was very religious and went to mass every Sunday morning. One day the husband Bob Copta, returning from work, did not find her at home and has not seen her since. After years of unsuccessful searches, Patricia was pronounced dead.

Before the disappearance, the woman had started having visions, she said she was talking to the Madonna and that theNuclear Apocalypse. Investigators considered her to be mentally ill and quickly concluded that she must have died as she was unable to take care of herself. Even a psychic was consulted who said Patricia drowned. So the case was filed and for years nobody thought of seeing her alive again.

An elderly woman who has been hospitalized in a Puerto Rico nursing home since 1999 after years of keeping quiet about her personal life claims to be the woman who disappeared from Pittsburgh more than 30 years ago. She told a social worker, who in turn contacted the authorities to verify the truth of these statements. The woman is subdued DNA test and the unexpected confirmation comes: This old woman really is Patrcia Kopta.
But what happened? According to the reconstructions, the woman boarded a ferry to Puerto Rico a few months after her departure. She lived here as a beggar until 1999, when she was looked after by a poor and old people’s home. «We really thought she was dead» explained the sister Fame, which Patricia recognized in a photo before the test was confirmed. “We did not expect it, it was a shock – said the woman -.
