WWE 2k22 is out now on Steam, and based on the reviews on Steam, it’s pretty good. It’s not a given: WWE 2k20 was so busted, both funny and not, that the series ended last year.
Now that he’s back and in shape, 2K Games has outlined plans to add new characters to the game via post-launch DLC. It includes a *checklist* wow, boy.
In terms of feature list, WWE 2k22 is very similar to the previous games on the list. The things they rely on are pretty vague – “overhauled game engine” and “new controls” – but the bottom line is: it has fewer bugs, the controls aren’t junk, maybe multiplayer will even work now, etc. will cost you £50/€60/$60.
If you want to spend more money, 2K plans to add 28 new characters to the game through five content packs. Each pack contains five to seven new playable fighters, including favorites like Cactus Jack, nostalgic characters like Mr. T, and Logan Paul and Machine Gun Kelly. You can browse the full list and choose your favorite reason to wince.
There’s no word on pricing for these individual packages, but the season pass includes them all and costs £33. While writing this post, I fell into the Wikipedia rabbit hole and spent 40 minutes reading about the British Bulldog. Nothing I’ve read has anything to do with this post, but I’m justifying my time by mentioning it here.
