Tigers belong to the cat family and are scientifically known as Panthera tigris. They can reach a length of up to three meters and weigh around 200 kg. One of the most distinctive features of these animals is their distinctive stripes.
Previously, they were found in areas such as Eastern Russia, Central Asia, and the jungles of Southeast Asia. Unfortunately, due to hunting and habitat loss, numbers have declined sharply.
They are currently found in parts of India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar, Thailand, Malaysia, Russia and Indonesia. Features that set them apart from other cats include their powerful fangs and jaws, which make them great hunters.
They are solitary and the females usually give birth to two to four young at a time. They are responsible for teaching the first steps until eventually they can survive on their own.
