UEFA has imposed a fine of 500000 euros on FC

UEFA’s Club Financial Control Committee (CFCB) has this Friday fined FC Barcelona €500,000 for incorrectly reporting profits in the 2022 financial year, according to a statement from the company itself. The CFCB First Chamber has announced a series of decisions affecting the clubs that were subject to the last financial ‘fair play’ scrutiny in the 2022/23 season. In it, FC Barcelona appears as a club that was fined 500,000 euros for the incorrect declaration of performance in the 2022 academic year, according to the regulations not relevant income, which is why the fine is not very high. In addition, the chamber fined Manchester United €300,000 for minor balance sheet deficits, and Konyaspor and APOEL FC €100,000 each.

On the other hand, the chamber has come to the conclusion that Paris Saint Germain, AC Milan, AS Monaco, AS Roma, Inter Milan or Olympique de Marseille, among others, have achieved the goals set for the 2022 financial year. Nonetheless, the CFCB will continue to monitor compliance with the settlement agreement throughout the upcoming season. According to UEFA, this is the last time the CFCB has rated clubs based on the old Club Licensing and Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations. This evaluation covers the years 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022. “The aim of the settlement agreement is to accompany both clubs in the transition period between the old FFP regulation and the new regulatory framework of financial sustainability with the requirements of stability”, UEFA explained .
